Why should I care about Blogs?
As part of an IT class for an executive MBA program, team Flow has to find and describe a technology that we think will have an impact on the business world. After considering five different topics, we selected blogs.
So now we are trying to figure out where the world of blogs is headed. Apparently Bill Gates thinks it will revolutionize the way we communicate? I'm having trouble understanding how blogs are different from a normal website.

Here's a link to a presentation on blogs that I think you'll find useful: http://www.slais.ubc.ca/courses/libr500/02-03-wt1/www/C_Walker/index.htm
Hey, why is that I can only post something anonymously here? The blog won't let me use my name and a password.

I think blogs are different from a regular website because of interaction. The weblog (IMO) was successful because of the decline of e-mail (as a communication system). A webhost venue is safer from hackers... webhosts aren't going to tolerate hacker brats. It gets down to "the blog's the only game in town." My feeling is for ultimate security, it's best to have a blog as a file within your (registered) website. Carl Weisbrod http://www.wdslibrary.com
Dude - you've got to post things to your blog a bit more frequently than every 2 weeks. Join the feedback discussion. You'll get a lot more OUT of your blog, if you put more INTO it.
